I'm offering a film scanning service to a small group of shooters, and currently taking in new clients. To keep this as simple as possible I will lay out the basics after this brief write-up. Essentially I will be offering a "scan only" service, no development, just scans - 35mm, 6x4.5, 6x6 and 6x7. I will be using my Frontier 2500 machine, everything on my website is scanned using this machine, and it is the same scanner that the big boutique labs use. I will be offering a flat rate of $10 per roll at the largest size the machine can do (about 15" on the long side), I will also be offering basic corrections on each frame as well as basic dust removal (basically just the big stuff that easily stands out). This is meant as a way for people to have a somewhat more affordable option, but still get professional results. We can discuss how you like your shots to look (a bit warm? cold? dark? contrasty? light? low contrast?, etc. etc.), and I will work my best to get them how you like them. The files will be sent to you via online delivery service like a Dropbox type system. Simple. Effective.
For now this is about keeping it simple - and keeping it personal - as I do not want to take on too many people at once. Any other details like sending you your negatives back, or holding onto them for a while - we can discuss on a 1 on 1 basis. I'm hoping to have a relatively quick turn around time for your scans. I'd say within a week is my goal, often times I would say three or four days. You can email me through the "contact" page here on my website. I'm taking clients from across the globe, not just local. I'm based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
If you have any questions or you think I've missed something here, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you!
